Regular engine tune-ups bring power and efficiency back to your car

Ensure maximum miles without major break-downs with routine car maintenance at Gramenzi Auto Services

What Is A Tune Up?

Your vehicle’s engine is made up of hundreds of complex components, working together to ensure that your vehicle starts and runs properly. Over time, however, these components can wear out resulting in a loss of performance and fuel economy. Clean gas and air needs to be driven to the vehicle’s cylinders, where combustion initiated by a spark plug creates the power necessary to move a heavy vehicle. Clogged fuel injectors, dirty air and fuel filters, and corroded spark plugs can all decrease engine performance and contribute to decreased gas mileage and performance.

Scheduled maintenance allows us to do a point-by-point vehicle inspection, tune-up (spark plugs, filters, etc.), oil change, and transmission maintenance. Depending on your miles and the vehicle, we may change belts, re-time your vehicle, and test the battery. After a tune-up, you'll discover your engine starts easier, runs smoother and is more efficient. A regular engine tune-up will lower emissions, improve fuel economy and restore lost power.

Is It Time For A Tune Up?

When you get car tune-ups based on your vehicle manufacturer's recommendations, you're investing in the long-term health of your car, saving you time and money. Your vehicle may need a tune–up if you notice one or more of the conditions below when starting or driving your vehicle:

  • A decrease in gas mileage

  • A noticeable loss in power

  • Engine running rough or stalling when at a stop

  • Engine knocking when accelerating or running–on after the ignition is turned off

  • Your "Check Engine" or "Service Engine" light remaining on after initial start–up

Cost per vehicle can vary depending on inspection, so please call us for vehicle-specific service information and pricing.
